Update: I turned off the HD and rebooted it as well as reboot the WiFi and now the app works fine from my tablet... (Original Post -->) I bought my WD 6TB Drive a few months ago. Been working fine till the recent update. Now I get Network connection failure (906) on my New Dell Android Tablet. This just started the other day and the app is no longer working. The app works just fine on my Samsung S7 Edge Phone though...
Poor performance from WD Have had this pile or rubbish for almost a year. For one of the leading companies in this field... This is poor. Why can WD not fix this crap. Clunky, slow, cannot choose where I want to back up to. Wait aggggges for a bloody photo to load even when I'm on my WiFi network standing next to the damn router.
Upload not functional from Android Update: 07-06-2016. Bug fixes??? No fixes to gallery upload, none. Still broken and unusable. Upload not functional from Android. Hardware is useless at this point until software is fixed. I'm giving them 30 days or returning product. I recommend this to everyone until they get the message. Your software sucks!! Western Digital are you reading these messages from users, is it not embarrassing enough for you?
Auto backup does not work...still I am also shocked and disappointed, as other reviewers have said, that this is the best a major tech company can put together. I feel that this app and it's reliability are an absolute after thought. It is clunky and buggy and does not work as advertised. WD is added to the list of crap I will not waste money on again. The Windows interface is just as big of an unreliable headache
Phone backup In a previous version i was able to backup my phone to a location that was not in the public folder. I choose to backup my pictures and it immediately started backing up to a destination i didnt want it to, and then after i choose the destination i wanted it to, its now going to backup my pictures and videos twice. Once to the old lication and once to where i wanted it to go. Please let me configure where to backup the phone before the backup starts, and give me the abiity to change it from public again.
Awful, missing basic tools to handle files I don't believe what have you done, this software is crap. I will try to bring back the device that I bought. You will be soon out of business if you don't stop making angry customers.
