RaDaR is a rainfall and weather monitoring app built for farmers and agricultural communities in Karnataka and Kerala. It lets registered station operators record daily rainfall, temperature, humidity, and wind speed observations from their local area, building a reliable, community-driven weather record over time.
Key features:
Daily measurement recording — log rainfall (mm), temperature (min/max), humidity, and wind speed for your assigned station
GPS-based station location sync — accurately pin your station's location using your device's GPS (accuracy-checked to within 50 metres)
Historical data and graphs — view your station's rainfall and temperature trends over time with visual charts
Secure login — sign in with your mobile number and PIN, with optional fingerprint/face unlock for quick access
Regional reports (Special Viewer role) — authorized regional viewers can see rolled-up rainfall reports at the village, taluk, district, or state level, with drill-down navigation
Push notifications — receive announcements and alerts relevant to the rainfall monitoring network
Panchanga (calendar almanac) — reference traditional calendar information alongside your weather records
Data export — station and regional reports can be exported to Excel and PDF for record-keeping and sharing
RaDaR is developed and operated by Silicon Solutions to support local, ground-level rainfall data collection where official weather station coverage is limited — helping farmers and agricultural planners make better-informed decisions based on real, local observations rather than distant averages.
