About this app

Turn any website into a live widget on your home screen. AnyWidget loads the page, captures the part you framed, and refreshes it on a schedule, so the forecast, a stock price, a score or a status page is right there when you unlock your phone.

? START FROM A PAGE THAT ALREADY WORKS
Pick from 50+ ready-made widgets in 11 categories: weather, markets, crypto, sports, news, tech, time, space, environment, travel and everyday. Each one opens framed and sized for you. You can also paste any link, or tap the link you just copied.

? FRAME EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT
Pinch and scroll the live page to frame the part you care about, then pick a size: Small 2 2, Wide 4 2, Large 4 3 or Max 4 4. Search for your city or team first, and the widget keeps that page.

? FRESH ON ITS OWN
Widgets refresh in the background every 30 minutes to 24 hours, or every 15 minutes with Premium. Tap refresh on the widget for an update right away, or tap the widget to open the site.

? ALL YOUR WIDGETS IN ONE PLACE
The app shows every widget as a live tile with the time it last updated. Tap a tile to refresh it, choose how often it updates, give slow pages more time to load, or remove it.

? FIX THE VIEW ANY TIME
Re-frame a widget on the live page, or Nudge it right on your home screen to pan and zoom into place. When a site changes its layout, a quick Re-frame puts it right again.

? CLEAR WHEN SOMETHING NEEDS YOU
When a refresh fails, the widget keeps its last good image and shows "Couldn't refresh". When a site wants you to sign in again, it shows "Sign in needed" and takes you straight there.

? HOW IT WORKS
Android widgets show pictures, so AnyWidget opens the page in the background, captures your framed area, and updates the widget with it on the schedule you choose. Android battery saving and the site's own loading speed can shift the timing a little. Pages that require a CAPTCHA or block automated browsers may not refresh.

Thank you for your reply, I missed the live edit option but theres still no way to fit what i want because it doesn't let me resize it smaller after a limit and I'm not paying for desktop mode without knowing if it would work.

Unusable. cannot select the part of the page you want to view. does not show anything (white blob) cannot increse viewable size for tablet. No response through email.

NEW VERSION: (NB: doesn't work with Action Launcher, tested with Pixel Launcher). HTTP Authentication now available (though details are forgotten when you edit the widget). Web Clipper misaligns when cropping a single image. Cannot resize the widget after it's placed (only removed). References I made previously to upgrade feature fails and only 1 widget allowed were my error. Features in app seems not to be tested very well - needs testers, I think, but worth pursuing.
