I'm updating my review (same stars though). I used this app quite a bit last year while on walks/hikes and to identify the plants at the new house. It was very helpful and fun to look through. Im pretty excited that the information now includes whether or not the plant is native.

great photos, but wish you had a photo option with it allowing you to take pictures of a flower and the app would assist you in identifying.

I would like that, too. You might look at http://leafsnap.com/. There is https://www.plantsnap.com/ but I suspect it only works on simple flowers. You can paste your flower photos into Google Image. It correctly identified an insect for me! Usually it can recognize the photo as a flower.
