About this app

Turn your phone into a 4K wireless webcam for OBS, video calls and streaming — with nothing to install on your computer.

Open a browser. Point it at your phone. You're live.

Wireless Webcam Pro is the full version: 4K at 60 fps, manual camera controls, dual camera and an encrypted connection.

WHY THERE IS NOTHING TO INSTALL

Every other wireless webcam app ships a desktop client you have to download, trust and keep updated. Wireless Webcam does not. The control panel is a single page served by the phone itself, over your own Wi-Fi. Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari, on Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS — if it has a browser, it works.

The video goes phone to computer directly over WebRTC. No cloud relay, no account, no sign-in, no internet connection required.

THE IMAGE

- 4K (2160p) and 1080p, at 30 or 60 fps
- Bitrate up to 25 Mbps, fixed or adaptive
- H.265/HEVC as well as H.264, hardware encoded

MANUAL CAMERA CONTROLS

Take the camera off automatic and keep it there. Manual focus with a real distance scale, ISO, shutter speed, white balance presets and exposure compensation — from the phone's control rail or from the browser, live, mid-stream. Every control reads the camera's current value first, so switching to manual doesn't make the picture jump.

FRAMING TOOLS

Focus peaking, zebra stripes and a live luma histogram, drawn on the phone's preview so you can nail focus and exposure before anyone sees it. Preview only — never burned into the stream your viewers get.

DUAL CAMERA

Stream the front and back cameras at the same time, on one address and one port. React to what you are showing, teach while you demonstrate, or cover two angles from one phone.

WORKS WITH OBS STUDIO

- Add the phone as a Browser Source for a clean, chrome-free camera feed
- A separate dock page puts resolution, framerate, bitrate, zoom and camera switching inside OBS
- Both pages are served by the phone — no plugin to install, nothing to update

ENCRYPTED AND ROUTABLE

Turn on HTTPS and the whole connection — video, audio and the control panel — is encrypted, so nobody else on the network can watch your feed or touch your settings. IPv6 is supported, and it runs over Tailscale, WireGuard or any other VPN if you want the camera from outside the house.

RUNS UNATTENDED

- Motion detection drops to idle quality when the scene is static, and jumps back the moment something moves
- Thermal protection steps the resolution down automatically when the device gets hot
- Pocket detection pauses capture if the phone is pocketed by accident
- Power saver blanks the screen without interrupting the stream

ALSO INCLUDED

Wireless microphone with echo cancellation, noise suppression, gain and feedback suppression. Live telemetry — FPS, bitrate, codec, battery, CPU temperature and orientation. Privacy mode, landscape lock, Picture-in-Picture, touch-to-focus, digital zoom. mDNS discovery and QR pairing. Username and password protection.

No watermark. No time limit. No ads. No subscription — one payment.

REQUIREMENTS

Android 7.0 or later. A modern browser on the receiving device. Both devices on the same Wi-Fi, or the same VPN. No internet connection needed. 4K and 60 fps depend on what your phone's camera and encoder support.

Built by one developer who wanted to run a remote tabletop game over OBS and got tired of watermarks, 720p caps and desktop clients. Feedback goes straight to a person, not a queue.

What’s new

Your settings now stay as you set them. Android closing the app in the background could switch them off; that was the "pocket mode turns itself off" bug, now fixed.

- Listen: hear the phone's microphone in the browser viewer.
- In a pocket, audio keeps streaming and video drops to save heat and battery.
- Optional silent reminder while the camera runs, with a Stop button.
- The phone always shows the right address.
- Heat protection is always on, with fixes.
