Quickly and easily join limited and constructed events at participating local stores. With Magic Companion you can easily find your next match and be notified when a new round begins.
How to participate in an event with Magic Companion:
1. Attend an event at participating local stores. Find one at locator.wizards.com
2. Open Magic Companion and select JOIN EVENT
3. Enter the Event Code provided by your local store.
4. Find your first matchup and get playing!

Ratings and reviews

The game is great when you can play it. the problem is, the developers have put no sort of punishment for quitting early. I understand conceding is part of the rules of magic but it gets a little out of hand on the mobile platform. People will quit the moment they don't draw a good card. In a tabletop setting that's fine, it's easy to allow the player an additional free Mulligan or quick shuffle. Unfortunately here, the game seems more like a "Loading screen" simulator than MTG.

Really only useful for getting into events. The database search tool isn't great and works terribly for double-sided cards. The built-in life counter is also inconvenient and does not handle counters very well (poison, commander damage, etc). For a way to find and connect with local events, Companion works fine, but for anything else, it's less than ideal.

It works sometimes. Auto logs you out at random intervals during tournaments, sometimes kicks you from events for no reason. However, the commander life total app is fantatic. Genuinely the best way to track life these days. For that alone it could be 5 stars. Unfortunately the app doesn't do what it is supposed to, which is be a companion app for *events*

This update has general improvements and bug fixes.

Reality Fracture Prerelease events run September 25 through October 1 at your local game store. Build a 40-card Sealed deck from a Prerelease Pack, then celebrate the set's release on October 2.
