About this app

Yango Driver is the official driver partner app of Yango, a smart shared mobility platform in Sri Lanka. Conceptualized by Janaka Jayasekara, Yango is designed to make daily travel more efficient, economical, and sustainable for both drivers and passengers.

Unlike traditional ride-hailing apps, Yango uses a two-way journey model. Drivers can publish their planned routes and available seats, while passengers can post their intended trips. This helps both sides find better route matches, reduce empty travel, and plan rides more effectively.

With Yango Driver, partners can accept ride requests along their route, share seats based on capacity, and manage trips with a smooth in-app experience. The platform helps drivers recover fuel costs and create additional daily income through responsible journey sharing.

Yango also supports public transport participation, including buses, vans, and shuttles, helping improve seat occupancy and expand travel options. By connecting more people to existing journeys, Yango contributes to lower congestion, lower fuel consumption, and reduced carbon emissions.

Yango Driver is owned and operated by JKM Global Pvt Ltd. It is built to create a professional, safe, and mutually respectful environment where drivers and passengers both benefit from smarter mobility.
