Works great until you realize you need to pay 120/ year to make it the same as Google voice. It doesn't give you the ability to customize your own greeting, something I consider basic, nor convert vm messages to text, something that should be basic and GV provides, without upgrading. I would upgrade if it was a one time purchase, but i find the monthly subscription fee excessive.
Does some neat stuff with personalization. However, the UI is crap and can be fairly confusing. There is no "out of office" setting, and I wish there were more options for a voice message once it's recorded. It DOES do voicemail to text, which is a nice feature that isn't advertised at all. It's just over the threshold to keep as my primary voicemail app, but I'm keeping my eyes open for something better. (Or isn't $6/month to upgrade to premium)
Used to love this app. Now, it witholds my messages for days. I only found out about my job interview 3days afterwards. That is a no no. Luckily enough, they rescheduled my interview immediately. But that is not something I will tolerate. I am uninstalling this App... P/S. I found 5 more messages, almost a week old from different people. Never was I notified by this App. Kept my message for a week..
Interface is buggy. Messages don't always show read after listening. Now the app is battery hungry and using lots of background data where it used to not do so in the past. This is so disappointing that I'm starting to look for visual voicemail alternatives. If those items were fixed, I would give it more than 2 stars.
I've been using Youmail for at least 5 years now. It was a great app but it has been super buggy lately. I had issues on my Galaxy s7 and now I'm having a lot of issues on my s8. It randomly crashes even when I'm not using the app. It causes bunch of Bluetooth and audio issues whenever I launch it. Bluetooth just stops working and all of my audio comes out of my earpiece. I've tried reinstalling the app but I'm still having issues. These issues need to be addressed asap!!
