• The Feed — halal eats from people you'd actually take a recommendation from: Scroll a live mix of reviews, playlists, photos, and prayer-space check-ins from real people nearby. Tap any place to open the full detail. Post your own — write a note, tag the places, drop a live link mid-sentence with @ and the place name. All platforms share the same Feed. One halal food network, now with a way to actually talk to it.

• The Video Feed — halal food, in motion: Swipe right from Home to watch food videos from halal restaurants near you, featuring 250+ halal food content creators from TikTok and Instagram. You'll see one video per restaurant before any repeats, so every swipe is a new place. Each video carries the restaurant's card — HalalRank, cuisine, price, and distance — and tapping it opens the full page. Creators are always credited, and you can tap straight through to their profile.

• HalalRank confidence scores: See at a glance how confidently halal a restaurant is. Every restaurant gets a score (0–100) and a tier (Certified, Verified, Reported, and more) based on certificates on file, supplier evidence, and what other users have submitted. Tap a place to see the full breakdown and the sources behind it. And if you've seen a halal certificate, know a trusted supplier, or have a photo of a label, you can submit it from the HalalRank section. Your evidence helps adjust the score.

• Trending halal places: See what's getting visited right now in your city — a live, distance-aware list of the 20 fastest-rising halal spots in the last 30 days. Great for "where should we eat tonight?" without scrolling forever.

• Share a poll and decide together: Still can't agree on where to eat? Start a poll, add the contenders, and share it with friends in a tap. Anyone who opens the link can see the live results and add their vote right from it — turning "where should we go?" into a decision everyone's part of.

• Curated playlists, from Zabihah and from real people: Playlists are tight, themed lists of halal places — some hand-curated by Zabihah's team, others created by the community. Browse playlists near you, see who curated each one, share with friends, and follow the ones you love so they sit on your Bookmarks tab.

• Build your own playlist: Save a place you love straight from its detail page into one of your own playlists, or create a new one anchored to a city, with a cover photo and a description. Use it to plan a trip, share a favorite list with friends, or remember every spot worth coming back to.

• Map every place on a playlist: Flip any playlist into map view, tap a pin to preview the restaurant in a card at the bottom, and tap through to the full page. Works the same way for Zabihah's editorial lists and the ones you build yourself.

• Order delivery in a tap: When a place is on Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, Seamless, or one of the other big aggregators, the link is right there on the restaurant page.

Ratings and reviews

This version is horrible. The old app from years ago was much better. I am forced to use the website. I often need to go on a trip to a city far from where I live and I want to research halal options before I go. I want to *easily* find restaurants near some place, not the place where I live, nor the place where I currently am. The app gives me results for the latter two, even if I specify a location in preferences. The full address of the establishment is not listed when I click on a tile.

What happened 😕 this new version just does not work, search by location is hit and miss. I almost always get the error " something went wrong" . Back in the days I have worked on a few apps myself. Fire these backend guys, they are messing up big time. Forced to switch after 5 years of using. 😔

Its a good app. There's only 1 problem. The method of entering a new location is very difficult. In China I wanted to add a halal place which I found after quite a struggle. I could not enter it due to many questions as I didn't know the answer to many of them. Plz cut down questions to 4. Name of place, location(with option of current location from map app), pic of the restaurant from outside, and phone number (optional)

What’s new

• Women's prayer space now shows as a mosque amenity, with the listed capacity front and center.
• Reels: place cards display correctly beneath clips, open restaurants appear first, and an "Open now" badge shows what's available.
• Fixed a rare crash when opening the map.
• Ranking fixes and behind-the-scenes stability improvements.
