NeoBAE is designed for MIDI enthusiasts, musicians, and users who want reliable playback of both modern MIDI files and classic mobile ringtone formats.
Supported file types:
- Standard MIDI files (.mid, .midi)
- MIDI Karaoke files (.kar)
- RIFF MIDI (.rmi), including files with embedded instrument banks
- Rich Music Format (.rmf), including files containing compressed samples or embedded instruments
- eXtensible Music Format v1 and v2 (.xmf, .mxmf)
- Common audio formats (.au, .wav, .mp2, .mp3, .flac)
Soundbank support:
NeoBAE includes a built‑in soundbank and also allows you to load your own for customized playback. The app supports a wide range of formats, including HSB soundbanks and formats commonly used with FluidSynth. Most SF2, SF3, SFO, and DLS soundbanks are compatible.
Additional features:
- Customizable reverb with adjustable parameters
- Export playback to audio files (WAV, FLAC, OGG)
- Fast folder scanning using SQLite3 indexing, tested with libraries of over 100,000 files
- Optional filters to display only chosen file types
- Supports system‑controlled light and dark mode themes
- All features available without ads or in‑app purchases
