I have shifted from QuickBooks to now Zoho books. Found it to be better in lot of ways, like billable expenses, time tracking, cash flow, Dashboard is also better to understand ur current status. But found few flaus too mostly in reports. Reports are not very user-friendly and don't have much customization. Export to excel is also not working properly, it just opens in some PDF. Also not able to sort in all colomns in register veiwing. Reports have to be improved a lot. QuickBooks r way better in reports. I hope they do something about it.
I tried a few different bookkeeping apps and moving from QuickBooks was difficult to find something that matched a lot of the functionality. What's nice is time tracking, (which can only be done in projects at the moment), mileage (which you have to click add expense, add mileage), and easy to accept credit card payments from clients. I've created some custom accounts that make it easy to run a profit/loss report for completing a tax return. Overall, much better than the other apps I've reviewed at a lower cost as well.
Be aware that if you take on the basic package from the Play Store, you can't then upgrade your package properly on the Zoho web app. However, I wouldn't have to do this if I didn't have to create duplicate contacts so I could buy and sell to the same person. There used to be an option to set up each contact as both a customer and supplier. Now you can't do that. You have to set up 2 contacts for the same person/company, one as a customer, and one as a supplier. Then you have to go on their website app and link them. So, when you only have 50 contacts available, it really was into them. It's a screw. And I'm not happy about it. I'm considering going to Quick Books...
Very useful app for managing a business on the go. The only issue I have is the differences between the Android app and the iPhone app. It makes it difficult to explain how to do something to do workers if there any differences between the two.
Had a little trouble with adding user but figured it out. Like the concept and productivity it's capable of. Wish it was easier to import Google contacts into Zoho apps without having to be in Excel format
There is no option to add units while creating invoices or estimates. This is an essential feature while billing. Please let me know if I am missing any configurations
