Zukka is a private, encrypted messenger for Android — with no phone number, no email, and no chat history stored on your phone. You connect through disposable invite codes instead of a contact list, and only a phrase that you alone know unlocks your conversations.
📵 NO PHONE NUMBER. NO EMAIL.
Sign up with just a nickname, a master password and an encryption phrase. No SMS code, no email — nothing that can be leaked or sold. Your nickname is NOT searchable — no stranger can look you up or add you.
🔒 NOTHING STORED ON YOUR PHONE
Most messengers encrypt messages in transit, then keep your whole chat history on your device. Zukka works the opposite way: your phone stores NO message history at all. Messages, photos and files live encrypted on the server and are decrypted locally, on screen, only while you read them. Close the app and your phone goes back to holding nothing. Lose it, change it, or hand it over — your history simply isn't in it.
🗝️ A KEY SPLIT IN TWO
Your encryption phrase creates a key that is split in half — one half kept on the server, the other on your device. NEITHER HALF WORKS ALONE. Only you, typing your phrase, can complete it. The server stores only ciphertext it can't open, so a database leak would expose neither your keys nor your messages.
🎫 DISPOSABLE INVITES INSTEAD OF A NUMBER
You don't share a phone number — you create an invite, a disposable code you give to someone or publish on your site or bio. Anyone who activates it becomes a contact. The invite is only the door, not the relationship: revoke or rotate it anytime and everyone already connected keeps talking to you — only new strangers are locked out. Invites can carry limits — how many people, and for how long.
📞 EVERYTHING A MESSENGER SHOULD DO
- Encrypted one-to-one VOICE and VIDEO CALLS
- GROUPS of up to 20 members, created through invites
- Photos, videos, files, voice notes and live location
- A separate encryption key for every conversation
- Per-contact ring and notification sounds — know who's calling without looking
- Multiple accounts behind separate PINs, kept fully apart on one app
- Auto-delete or hide messages per contact, on your own timer
🧹 CLEAN BY DEFAULT
Photos and documents carry hidden metadata — GPS location, author, timestamps. Zukka STRIPS it before anything is encrypted and sent, so you never share more than you meant.
🔕 ZERO SPAM SURFACE
No number to leak and no directory to be listed in: no spam calls, no scam groups, no cold strangers. Only people you invited can reach you — so when Zukka rings, it's someone who matters.
🌐 WORKS ON PRIVACY-FOCUSED ANDROID
Zukka needs no Google Mobile Services and runs on de-Googled Android such as GrapheneOS, /e/OS and LineageOS. Without Google it keeps its own encrypted connection alive, so messages and calls still arrive in real time.
🚫 NO ADS. NO TRACKING. NO ANALYTICS.
None in the app, none on our website — no third-party scripts or tracking pixels. Zukka is funded by its subscribers, not by selling you. YOU PAY US, SO YOU ARE NEVER THE PRODUCT.
WHO ZUKKA IS FOR
- Travelers crossing borders where phones get inspected — no history on the device
- Journalists and sources — each source gets their own invite; cut one and only that thread disappears
- Families who want quiet — connected only to each other, no number to attract scams
- Professionals with a public face — publish an invite as your "line", rotate it when spam starts
WHAT WE WON'T PROMISE YOU
We don't claim you're "safe" against anyone — no app can guarantee outcomes against a determined adversary. We describe the mechanism: your phone stores no history, and the key protecting your data is never whole in one place. And if you lose your encryption phrase, your data is gone for good — no recovery, no reset email, no backdoor. That's the price of nobody else being able to open it either.
Keep nothing worth finding on your phone.
