It used to be fun. Now it's loaded with useless points and meaningles achievement challenges. Gotten very resource consumptive. Now, select ads show a blank screen, and no way to exit the ad routine. .. sometimes forcing me to restart not just the app, but my phone as well. Playing this game is painful. Now, I have a game out of sync. (I've played but it thinks I haven't, so it keeps reloading the same game over and over.). There is no obvious way to clear the error.

I've been playing words with friends for YEARS!!! As time has changed so has the enjoyment. Like others, the ads are too much, popping up after each play. While most apps have the option to purchase the game ad-free Words does not, giving you a 30-day ad-free trial for 9.99. A bit ridiculous. Additionally, there are constant notifications on the interface with challenges, playing themed events; etc making the screen constantly cluttered and overwhelming.

It would be a fun game expect for the ads. So. Many. Ads. I wouldn't mind them so much but it's literally after every single word and you can't skip through half of them, you have to watch it play all the way through and TikTok is just the worst, they have a 30 second ad that you can't skip that I could quote word for word as many times as I've seen it and I've only just finished one entire game.
