IP Geolocation by DB-IP

FAQ
- Why are Channel & frequency not shown?
Since Android 6, the location permission is needed to scan for wifi networks around. This is the only way to get the current channel and the frequency. (also see the discussion in the Google Issue Tracker: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=185370)
Your location will not been detected nor transfered at any time.

List of Permissions

FULL INTERNET ACCESS
- Required to get external ip address. If this feature is disabled, no data connection will be established

- Detect the type of mobile connection (GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA...)

CHANGE WI-FI STATUS
- Wifi toggle

VIEW WI-FI STATUS
- get SSID

VIEW NETWORK STATUS

REPLY TO DEV: Ok. Have resolved most of the Android 12 issues. One strange one remains. If you tap on notification, wifi settings opens as it should. But if you tap on either of the "extended settings" (for me, app settings and Speedtest), those things do open, but in the background; the notification shade does not close. You have to manually close the shade to see the open widget settings or Speedtest.

Just tried it on 2 Android 12 devices (Pixel 6 and Samsung S20FE) and it works on both. Have you tried to exclude IP Widget from battery optimization?

Exactly what I was looking for. Large array of options to work with, and everything is easy to setup. I particularly like the option of showing WiFi SSID currently used in Status line. The fact that the widget can be configured to activate many different options upon being touched - most use full in my opinion is the No Response - is wonderful. This app really stands out with the right features, easy setup and very well implemented. Worth more than 5 stars hands down. Gert P.

One of the coolest widgets you didn't know you needed. See at a glance not only which network you're connected to, but also which access point. Aliases makes them easy to identify. Shows your internal and external IP addresses. Monitors your VPN connection and lets you know quickly if you're completely offline. Very customizable.
