The MINI App is only supported by vehicles that were built after March 2018 and have the optional MINI Connected Services services in combination with a compatible smartphone. The optional Remote Services option is required for an optimal app experience. The availability of app functions can vary from country to country.

Still has limited functionality. They really need to fire whoever it is that provides the maps and navigation! ALWAYS, without fail, no matter how many times I go, it takes me the wrong way down a one-way street to drive up to the valet at a venue I go to regularly- Since early 2023. | Navigation currently takes me out of my way when I'm leaving my HOA and going west.

Cannot add my vehicle because the service is continuously unavailable. Instructions to visit the "Mini Connected website" is useless because miniusa just directs you back to the app. Absolutely the worst part of my Mini experience so far. Edit: Once connected, the app also drains your battery just sitting in the car, and the remote commands take so long to be transmitted you're better off walking to the car and doing it yourself. Can't even turn the engine and heating on remotely in the morning

Won't work on a 2017 mini with touch navigation xl, confirmed with mini support that it cannot be set up. The old app that worked, barely, is being sunset. The vehicle was sold with limited android support - and even that is being taken away before the warranty expires! Now there's no way to navigate spotify playlists beyond or view album art without the picking up the phone. Why so much contempt for Android, which is 72% of the market?
