The app is made available free of charge as part of a Charité study. Help us improve care for women with menstrual pain! Find out more about your cycle, self-help and diseases like endometriosis.
period. is not a classic cycle app. The period app supports you with period pain and aims to relieve your pain.
period. offers you:
- Diary: Record your pain and discomfort and keep an eye on your cycle.
- Knowledge: Learn more about your cycle, self-help measures and diseases like endometriosis. Provided by medical experts.
- Self-help: Learn exercises such as aroma self-massage, yoga and acupressure for pain relief.
Severe period pain is not the norm. By using the app, you are not only doing something for your health, but also for science! Our goal is to contribute to improving care for women with menstrual pain.
You can take part in the study if you
- are between 16 and 24 years old.
- have severe period pain.
- you are not currently pregnant.
- you are insured with one of the participating health insurance companies.
The following health insurance companies are taking part in the project:
- the technician health insurance company,
- the BARMER and
- DAK health.
To use the app and take part in the study, you must register in the app.
INTENDED USE
period. is a Class I medical device according to the Medical Device Regulation (MDR). The digital health application is intended to support and empower girls and women with menstrual pain to relieve their period pain. The app is not intended to replace medical diagnostics and treatments.
