This is an excellent app for streaming video to your chromecast. I bought the Avia app several years ago, but it no longer seems to be actively developed and is lagging in features. In particular, with localcast, I like the 30 sec skip and the ability to play videos directly from local windows shares (smb://). Well done!
Poor for video For most formats it either fails to find a codec, of does not display the video. System can play the same formats, so this is clearly a fault of the app. Perhaps a 'open with' option should be offered.
Nice Design, Not Ready For HD or 4K Well designed application but it does not work very well with 720p+. When casting a locally hosted 1080p video, it was janky and slow.
Only used it couple times I've only used it a few times, but it asked me to rate it anyways. Kind of like that annoying server that comes to ask you how your food is after you've only had the first bite and it's still in your mouth. I think it's awesome I guess... does the job.
Excellent app Excels at what its supposed to do. I cast onto the Chromecast, and I haven't faced any issues so far. I just wish the price for going Pro was a little bit less.
Great little app that does what it says. Lovely little feature: if the app runs on the phone and a call comes in it stops playing music, and it resumes once the call is finished. Dearly missed on other, similar apps.
