Unable to register as I just get this error message. "Registration is temporarily blocked for ip address to avoid abuse. This is the first time I've tried to register an email address and I get the error if I'm using wifi or other data. I think I'll stick with protonmail. Edit... Tried everything suggested but I still get the error. I think i will definitely stick with protonmail as I don't have any problems and it's more secure.
The app works nice. At first start, the interface takes more than a couple of seconds to load. I think there is a "glitch" when moving emails from inbox to folders (I have only 5 folders). The interface hangs and app needs to be FC or restarted. Hoping to see more great features added
I am delighted with Tutanota. They are committed to privacy and confidentiality. I get no spam emails whatsoever. They do not sell or share your email, and they are very professional to deal with. Your Tutanota email will not be accepted by all websites, such as those who sell stuff, because it cannot be shared. You may wish to keep a separate 'commercial' email address to use for signing up for stuff, because Tutanota is very private. Who wants his letters steamed open, after all? Downside is that many service providers won't accept the email address (because they can't sell it on...!) so that you will sometimes see 'email address not valid' if you try to sign up for something. I've had Tutanota a year now, with a ridiculously cheap premium account of 12 Euros a year. Superb deal, I really recommend this if you're sick of spam. I can send emails with a password if I want, so that the recipient must have the password to open the mail. How cool is that?
Still cannot mark emails unread! Big missing feature, IMO. I eschew the labels and categories approach. For me, email is either unread, read, deleted or archived. And read emails are ones I didn't get round to archiving or deleting. I want to view all unread by default, and search. No need for categories! I'm moving to Protonmail.
The app is okay, however I have noticed that it takes too long (about 10 seconds or more) for the app to launch from the Tutanota Screen to the login/sign up page.I have tried this app on other mobile devices and have similar experience. I also use other email apps and don't have any problems. I therefore deduce its an app issue and not an phone issue. Please look into this. Thanks
I loved tutanota for a year or so but sadly with the latest release it says it is unable to contact the server. It suggests I update Webview but the play store says that is incompatible with my device. Google Nexus S android 4.1.2 Any fix or workaround would be appreciated.
