works totally fine. free version is very bare bones but it does the job done. which is cast your phone screen to the bigger screen. problem is you need to pay for better quality and for the sounds to be casted too. If you are thinking of using a game to screencast to the tv, it's not good. because of latency. just use a USB to HDMI. It works much better that way.

This is the biggest scam Sony has ever pushed on me. The Screen Mirroring App resembles a total phishing scam that tries to push a paid subscription up front, without even telling how much it costs. There were several hoops to jump through to avoid a direct subscription cost even before trying the app or knowing what it does. Turns out, there will be no screen mirroring for you WITH SOUND on a free subscription. What the actual F? My 1.5k Sony TV claimed to have Miracast and this was it.

Never have I ever been more pestered by ads and other pop-ups that disrupt use of an app. Aside from the persistent banner ad along the bottom, before I even got to casting I had at least three pop-ups requesting I purchase the "pro" version which simply allows the app to function as you would expect (with sound, which isn't available without the "pro' version"), or that prompted me to leave a review for the app. Deceptively labeled buttons in some ads for pro.
