Rowly is a row counter for crochet and knitting that keeps your pattern PDF on the same screen. There are no ads in it, so nothing ever pops up over the button while you count.

You count to relax. Tap the big counter, feel the click, and the number changes right then. Nothing covers the button, nothing starts playing, and you never have to wonder whether that tap registered.

No Ads. Not Now, Not Later

There is no advertising in Rowly and there never will be, because Rowly is not paid for by advertising. It is paid for by the people who use it. That is the whole trade, and it is why the counter is never interrupted.

Your Pattern and Your Counter, On One Screen

Open a pattern PDF and the counter comes with it, as a slim band over the page. You read the chart and count at the same time, without switching screens.

Import a PDF from your phone and Rowly copies it into the app. It stays there even if you delete the original file, clear your downloads or have no signal. Attach as many PDFs as a project needs, because most garment patterns arrive in several pieces.

Rowly remembers the page and the zoom level you were on for every file, and it rotates a single page without rotating the whole document, so a chart printed sideways stops being a problem.

Bought a pattern on your phone? Open the PDF from your email or downloads, choose Rowly, and it lands straight in the app. My patterns keeps every PDF you have added in one searchable list, whichever project it came from. You can also print a pattern, or send it on to someone else.

Everything Else a Row Counter Needs

Your Work Is Yours, Including on the Way Out

Export everything you have made, projects and pattern PDFs together, into a plain ZIP saved straight to a folder on your phone. It is free forever: during the trial, after the trial, and whether or not you ever pay. There is no fee to get your own projects back, ever.

There is no account, no email address and no sign-up. Your projects, notes and PDFs stay on your phone. Rowly has no server to send them to, so nobody here can read them or keep them from you.

What Rowly Does Not Do

Rowly has no cloud backup and no sync between devices. That is a deliberate choice rather than a missing feature, and it is why there is no account and nothing to leak. It also means your work lives on this phone only, so export before you change phones and keep the ZIP somewhere safe.

Rowly does not sell patterns and has no catalogue of its own. Your library is the patterns you already bought or downloaded, so Rowly gives you the shelves, not the stock. There is no AI, no feed, no social features and no statistics to read. It does one job properly: count your rows, and keep the patterns you work from.
