About this app

Something stinks. You know it. Your neighbours know it. The company down the road definitely knows it. And yet — nothing happens.

Smelldar is for when you're done filing complaints into a void.

Pin the smell. Rate the stench. Share it. Let the internet decide how a 9/10 hazardous cloud hanging over a residential street is somehow still not anyone's problem.

No city wants to be known as the smelly one. No company wants its industrial discharge mapped and shared by thousands of pissed-off locals. That's the point.

HOW IT WORKS

Open the map. Tap the report button. Rate the stench from 1 (faint, barely worth mentioning) to 10 (eyes watering, get out). Done in seconds.

Your exact location is never stored — reports are placed within a 150-meter radius, so no one can trace it back to you. Meanwhile, everyone nearby sees a heat circle on the map, can confirm it, pile on in the comments, and share it as a card.

One report is just one person complaining. Fifty reports from the same block, every week, is a story.

THE SMELL SCALE

1–3 Faint · Something's off but you'd almost miss it
4–6 Foul · Unpleasant, you'd cross the street
7–8 Severe · Hard to breathe, you're leaving now
9–10 Hazardous · Eyes watering, this should be illegal

SHARE THE STENCH

Every confirmed report can be shared as a card — smell level, intensity rating, community confirmations. Post it. Let people talk. Cities don't fix what they can quietly pretend doesn't exist. They do fix what's going viral.

PRIVACY FIRST

• No account required. Anonymous codename from day one.
• Your exact GPS is never saved — fuzzy 150m radius only.
• No ads. No tracking. No selling your data.

Optionally link a Google account to keep your history across devices.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Build a reputation as a trusted nose. Earn badges for consistency, community confirmations, and not letting it slide. The honorary Skunk badge awaits the truly dedicated.

WHY THIS EXISTS

Authorities don't act on complaints they can't quantify. Companies don't fix what they're not publicly on the hook for. Smelldar is the hook. Anonymous. Collective. Mapped. Shareable.

Some smells have been tolerated long enough.
