When reading the Bible, you may encounter points where you get stuck in genealogies. Names overlap, lists differ, and records for certain tribes are almost non-existent.
Bible Genealogy is an app that separates and displays those points.
Key Features
- Select and display genealogies by era. It depicts straight lines, branches spreading sideways, displays two genealogies side-by-side, and points where dynasties end in different shapes.
- It shows exactly how much of the records for the twelve tribes remain. Tapping a tribe displays the sons in Genesis 46, the clans in Numbers 26, and how far down the lineage extends in 1 Chronicles, in sequence.
- It gathers major biblical figures by era and lists the fathers and mothers recorded in the Bible together.
- It separates individuals with the same name from those with multiple names.
- It organizes feasts by Hebrew calendar dates.
What this app does not do
It does not mark one side as the correct answer where views diverge. It indicates the divergence and displays the viewpoints side-by-side. Where lists differ, it does not merge them but simply arranges them by source.
**Bible Genealogy** Bible chapter and verse numbers are attached to every item. However, the actual Bible text is not included. Only the chapter and verse numbers are listed, and the explanations are written in the app's text.
There are no accounts and no ads. It does not collect personal information, and the only things remaining on your device are your screen preferences and selected items. You can delete them at any time from the settings screen.
Unfold the genealogy by era and click on the tribe to go down one generation. Bible verses are attached to every item.
