I just started saving with Digit and it's a great way to save money without thinking about it. What would be REALLY awesome is if it would ask you how often you get paid so that it can calculate how much you need to save for bills before next payday. Right now it's sorta just taking out all of my bills now even though payday is around the corner. I don't know, just a thought. Still all around great app.
I enjoyed using this app, but I can't afford to pay $3 a month to save money. My budget is very tight, and while it did help me put aside some money, I often had to end up withdrawing money to buy groceries or pay a bill. With my bank savings account transfers are instant, but with Digit it takes a few days to get your money. I will be researching alternatives and closing my account before the 100 days is up. It was nice while it lasted, but it kind of feels like the rug being pulled out from under me.
I know y'all need to eat, but I think you should've surveyed or something before making your monetization plan. Maybe tried a freemium model or some tiers. I don't actually use the app often though. I've been attached to the simplicity of the texts and the webapp was cool when necessary. The app doesn't even show me how much money I have in digit now without a button press. And you need a lock situation.
I don't leave app reviews. But I'm so pissed off at digit. Charging 3 bucks a month to save my own money that they're earning interest off of? So dumb. I'm leaving this review and closing my account right now. That's the dumbest thing I've heard of. I can average my savings over the course of the app and just transfer it to savings. The only benefit to this app was that it was free.
The amount of times I was disconnected from this app and had to reconnect to my bank was annoying but I stuck with it. Now you're charging $3 to save my OWN money?? On top of that something shady is going on and all of a sudden I can't log in to my account. You guys have all my banking account info and now locked me out from signing in. I want to cancel my account immediately and I want ALL of my money back, every last penny. So disappointed.
Loved the app, but charging me to save money is ludicrious. You have really hurt yourself big time and I urge you to reconsider. I would rather you keep the savings bonus and remain free of charge. I wouldnt even mind the use of ads. I will not be paying a subscription fee and will be uninstalling the app before the 100 days are up. I can easily transfer money to my savings account every day myself. I wish you all the luck digit, but you will lose a lot of customers.
