Dummy Chess is chess with the rules turned into a game of nerve. Nothing stops you from making an illegal move — but if your opponent calls you out, you lose on the spot.
1 vs 1 — the bluffing duel
White and Black take turns on one device, sitting face to face: the top half of the screen is flipped toward the second player. Play real chess… or don't. Slide your rook through a pawn, tuck your king somewhere safe, sneak a captured piece back onto the board. Any move is allowed. But after your move, your opponent can claim it was illegal. If they're right, they win instantly. If they're wrong, the game goes on. Capture the king with a fully legal move to win outright.
Dummy Mode — the sandbox
No turns, no rules, no judges. Move any piece anywhere, capture anything in its way, drop dead pieces back onto the board, and promote pawns that reach the far rank. Perfect for setting up positions, teaching the board, or just messing around.
