About this app

epNotes is a fast, private, photo-first note-taking app. Snap a picture, jot a line, tag it with a category, and you’re done. Everything stays on your device.

Photo-first capture
• Open the camera, take one photo or several, and they’re attached to the note before you even type.
• Draw on photos right after capture — annotations are baked into the saved image.
• Crop and rotate non-destructively in the in-app photo editor.

Organize without overhead
• Optional categories with custom colors.
• Optional 1–5 rating per note.
• Optional GPS coordinates — tap the map icon on a note to see where you took it.
• Drag-and-drop reordering of categories and notes when you want a fixed order.

Share content into epNotes
• Share photos or text from any other app and pick epNotes — the content lands in a new note, ready to edit.

Home-screen widgets
• 1×1 resizable Text Note and Photo Note widgets that drop you straight into the editor.
• Per-widget background color and transparency.

Built-in exports
• PDF — print-ready, photos included.
• HTML — single-file gallery, viewable in any browser.
• CSV — date, content, rating, GPS.
• ZIP — CSV plus original-quality photos.

Backups under your control
• Export everything (notes, categories, photos, settings) to one ZIP file.
• Restore on the same device or a new one.

Calmer mode
• Simplified Mode hides categories, ratings, and other extras for users who just want a notes app.

Privacy by default
• Photos and notes never leave your device.
• Optional GPS — on by default, easy to turn off in settings.
• No accounts, no analytics, no network calls.

epNotes is a personal project. It is not a sync service or a team tool — it is a single-device notebook that respects your privacy.
