The InApp POS application is UniCredit's new softPOS solution that transforms smartphones and tablets into payment terminals without the need for additional hardware.
InApp POS overcomes the limits of traditional payment acceptance devices and allows UniCredit to offer its customers a truly innovative solution, which allows Android devices to be used as terminals capable of accepting contactless payments regardless of the amounts transacted.
Merchants who need a collection solution on their device or who are constantly on the move can now be equipped with an application that frees them from the limits of cash through a commonly used tool such as a smartphone or tablet.
InApp POS is quick and easy to use - once you have downloaded and activated the app, just 4 simple steps are enough to accept payments:
1. Enter the amount
2. Choose the payment circuit
3. Ask the customer to bring the card closer (enter the PIN if requested) or frame the QR Code
4. Submit the receipt.
InApp POS guarantees the maximum level of security of use and acquisition of the PIN in compliance with the rules established by the Circuits.
Strengths:
- no additional hardware needed - card and PIN are acquired directly from the device
- no limit on transactions - the possibility of entering the PIN directly on screen allows you to carry out transactions of any amount
- high security standards, thanks to a system validated by Visa and Mastercard testing laboratories and based on local and online rules and controls that suspend/block potentially fraudulent activities
- works with contactless EMV cards and their virtual equivalents.
- no restrictions on the manufacturer of the device with Android Operating System – InApp POS can be installed on any device equipped with NFC technology with Android operating system v8.1 or more recent (related to the latest Google security patch)
To start using InApp POS you must sign the relevant contract.
