About this app

The official and improved Wilma app is a handy app for teachers, students and guardians alike. The upgraded app means faster and easier access to the features you need on a daily basis. Use the app to check your schedule, assignments, lesson notes and more! Get real-time notifications about new messages and lesson notes, and read and write messages. As a guardian you will also benefit from the possibility to clear absences and notify absences beforehand.
Once you have created a user account in the Wilma app you don’t need to log in to the app separately each time. The easiest way to activate your Wilma account in the new app is to use your mobile to scan the QR code available in the browser version of Wilma. Then insert your password and you are good to go! If you have many Wilma accounts you can gather them all in this app. All the information is then available in one place, regardless of which city or school the Wilma accounts belong to.
In some municipalities and institutions the Wilma administrators may have set restrictions for Wilma, in which case it is not possible to add Wilma accounts to the app.
With the app you can
- receive real-time notifications about new messages and lesson notes
- read and write messages
- view announcements
- check your schedule
- check course details: homework, test dates and lesson notes
- clear absences
- notify absences beforehand

This app doesn't give full access to Wilma. The layout is rudimentry and navigation of messages is a mess. On top of these weaknesses is the fact the system is used ineffectively by schools and staff making almost all the features available pointless. The app needs major improvement and the company needs to teach it's primary customers how to use it properly. Edit: no noticable improvements in the app and no improvement in how it is used. This whole service is a disgrace.

It is a good app overall but it is lacking so many useful features that the website has. Constantly I am opening it in the browser because I can not do it in app. It works well as it is but it could be so much. It's nothing more than messaging and some schedule work. Disappointing.

In the English translation of the app, in Lesson Notes>Click on an absence note: the button reads "Clear." That is a very wrong word to use in English UIs, because the word means "tyhjennä" in any normal instance. It literally means to clear the window, not "Sort out" or "Clear up". Better choices could be "Correct" "Sort out", or work with an English speaking copywriter to find you better Microcopy, please. The whole app could use such a service. Also, please add "Give feedback" in the app.

Thank you for your feedback. You are correct. "Clear" is not suitable translation for this situation. We will change it in future version
