❓ Why a VPN?
Some in-car browsers block local connections. To bypass this limitation, TaaDa uses Android’s VPN service to assign a temporary public IP to your phone.

Ever since I discovered headunit reloaded, which gave me back Android Auto on my phone, I thought about this exact model, open up a web socket to intercept the android auto stream, and offer it inside tesla. But now, I found this app, exactly what I was looking for. Turn on Hotspot automatically, on my samsung phone possible with "modes and routines", and you are done. The only issue left is the sound echo when connected with bt in the tesla. Developer, find a solution for that, please.

I've just installed it on my Tesla, and it was pretty straightforward following the instructions in the app. make sure you have a good read and allow everything it needs to function. Once connected, it fired up waze just like Android Auto. I'm on the 7 day free trial so will update after that, but this is so far a game changer for those with a heavy foot, thankyou dev 👍👊

Updated review: My initial poor rating reflected unexplained high-risk permissions. Without in-app justification, such requests represent a trust issue rather than a cosmetic one. The developer responded quickly and added clear, concise explanations for each permission at the moment they’re requested. That resolves the concern directly and transparently. With the permission rationale implemented, the app earns a much higher rating. Bien joué !
