Clunky and annoying to use. UI is not helpful. Quick balance button is in the same place as samsung fingerprint reader, so trying to quickly check balance results in an unskippable loading screen and 2-3 messages about the quick balance feature which i just failed to use. Have had app failures when transferring money, even though it worked? Also, there is no easy way to save payee's, resulting in manually adding the information every time. edit: 2 years later and these issues still persist.

The app is terrible, it used to work ok a good few updates back but since then I routinely cannot log in, the device says 'blocked' and returns me to quick balance screen. Sometimes it will let me log in but inconvenient if needed while away from a computer, for some reason it will still let me use the app for 2fa so I can log into AIB on a PC without having to faff about with card readers. First Trust/AIB have been my primary bank most of my adult life, I may change.

as others have said, this app is ok - when it actually works! 'technical issues' when trying to install security updates are a nightmare. You will enter the endless loop of doom! It is 2026 & I have no access to my own bank account online because of a 'technical issue' . I have reinstalled the app twice. Still the same problem. I need to move money between MY accounts but can't! Of course they closed all the local Branches so that's not an option either. Very frustrated customer
