Ratings and reviews

I don't know about other people's experiences, but mine with this VPN was stellar. Easy to download, may take a (very short) while to connect, simple to use. Works as intended and no ads. Free version gives you 2 GB per month, so if you need a free VPN for daily use, this may not be for you. (They do have premium plans though.) I've been using the free version forever, and customer service was very responsive the rare times I had an issue.

If you set "block all non-vpn traffic" as YES, then when a connection drops, you cannot reconnect unless you toggle the setting or you restart. Otherwise: this performs well, and their servers and protocols have gotten better and more stable recently. One complaint, but it doesn't happen often, is that if it cannot renegotiate or establish a connection after a few attempts, it will just halt any further attempts.

You don't even have to create an account. There's the "free" version which works for some things. But I needed a Turkey server, which was a paid feature. You can just pay for one month at $5 through the in-app purchase, and unblock yourself from the entire world, streaming services and everything. It worked. When I accidentally signed out, I was able to go to Settings, and select "restore purchase". Mind you, the "non-account" method only allows you to use the service on one Android device.
