avoid this app and telco at any cost, you will lose money due to the faulty app that doesn't show any error or payment indication and the customer service will just say it's your fault

Sounds to good to be true? It is! My friend and I both bought a M1 Prepaid plan at different 7-Elevens for traveling. Shortly after leaving Singapore I got a SMS "Your [...] SIM has been temporarily suspended as the ID [...] appears unreadable". This can only be resolved at the store in Singapore. We both have the same issue. The support won't help, but can verify your identity by asking you for your passport ID and date of birth (how if you can't read my passport?!). Feels like scam.

Hi X, if you receive an SMS to re‑register your Prepaid SIM, please do so within 14 days at any M1 Shop. Bring your NRIC, FIN, or passport and your SIM card. Service will be suspended until re‑registration is completed. - SAM
