Speech is a keyboard-free way to type by voice, built for Hinglish. Speak naturally in Hindi, English, or both mixed in one sentence, and Speech writes clean, correctly formatted text straight into whatever app you are using.

WHY SPEECH
• Hinglish first. Hindi and English in one sentence is the main job, not an afterthought.
• Fast. Text appears in about a second after you finish speaking.
• Hold to talk. Press and hold the bubble, speak, release. Your words land at the cursor.
• Works everywhere. Messages, email, notes, search, any text field.
• Clean output. Automatic punctuation and formatting, in Roman script.

HOW IT WORKS
Hold the Speech bubble and talk. When you release, your speech is transcribed and the finished text is inserted where your cursor is. That is it.

USE OF THE ACCESSIBILITY API
Speech uses Android's AccessibilityService API. This is the feature that lets Speech type into the app you are already using, which is the core function of the app. After you grant permission, the service is used for exactly four things:

1. It detects when you put your cursor in an editable text field, so the dictation bubble can appear.
2. It inserts your transcribed text at the cursor in that field.
3. It reads a short piece of text immediately before the cursor, so spacing, capitalisation and punctuation join up with what is already written.
4. For a short time after Speech types for you, it notices if you correct one of the words Speech produced, so it can offer to remember that spelling next time. This comparison happens on your device.

What Speech does not do with the Accessibility API:
• It does not read, collect, store or transmit your screen or the contents of other apps.
• It does not run when you are not dictating.
• It stays switched off in password managers, banking, UPI and payment apps, and in password fields. The bubble does not appear there.
• It does not change your settings, block uninstalls, record calls, or alter how other apps look or behave.

Speech is a productivity dictation app for general users. It is not an assistive technology product, so it does not declare itself an accessibility tool. Android provides no other API that can place text at your cursor reliably across all apps, which is why the AccessibilityService is required.

Before the service is turned on, Speech shows you a plain-language explanation and you must agree to it. You can turn it off whenever you like in Android Settings > Accessibility > Speech, or by uninstalling Speech.

PRIVACY
Speech records audio only while you are actively holding the dictation control. Your audio and the resulting text go to your Speech account to be transcribed. You choose whether they are kept or discarded: Privacy Mode keeps nothing. You can delete your account and all of its data from inside the app.
