Biometric locking & unlocking is impossible from the app. The TOTP provided, when entered in the password area doesn't match most of the time. May be the time it takes to recognise the TOTP, is too short/long, when a new TOTP, may had already generated by that time in the Server backend. That's why it doesn't match or what? 8 digits TOTP is long enough to memorise and put it in the appropriate location within that stipulated time as shown in the timer clock. Please make it a little bit practical and usable, by at least the end user. User should be able to lock and unlock it as and when they require, without any type of delay, error.
Many people reported about SMS(OTP) not being delivered to them this is due to dual SIM. As reported by others about one can't lock AADHAR through app, actually you can. Once locked through this app I tried to authenticate using finger print at JIO store for a new SIM, it did not allow the verification, I was able to verify only after unlocking. Awesome app. I hope and know for sure this app will improve over time.
You have done good work. But there is slightly little glitch in the app. It doesn't allows you to enter OTP manually sent to the registwred mpbile while adding your aadhaar profile. It has been developed as in to automatically verify the sent OTP. Now this a showstopper, if the registered number is not being used in the mobile. Please look into this.
About time an app was released to conveniently lock and unlock biometics. MAJOR GRIPE: My phone has a fingerprint sensor. Why not use it for authentication instead of making me type a complicated password everytime? It's funny that the entire Aadhaar concept is based on biometrics but when my phone offers a convenient biometric authentication, the app won't use it. Please add this feature in the next update.
If at all after installing this app on your mobile, and then you lose your mobile some where, a new SIM card these days needs a Biometric authentication and your Biometrics are locked through this app, the service provider will not a issue a new SIM card a for you.How you recommend anyone to install this app? So instead of all these issues I would strongly recommend any Indian citizen please don't install this app. Instead carry an Aadhar with you.
What's the point in asking us to type the password twice to view the card? The second password should be asked if trying to change settings or biometric access only. The app should be user friendly and one should be able to login using a PIN no also. Can't imagine typing the high security password in a crowded train twice wen a TTE asks for id!
