Holiday Hacker turns India's public holiday calendar into smart trip plans — and rings real alarms for what you cannot afford to miss: submitting your leave application and opening the train, bus, or flight booking window.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Set up your profile (location, leave balance, travel preferences).
2. Calendar finds Free Holidays, Golden Bridges, and Mega Bridges — the smallest leave spend for the longest break.
3. Plan suggests destinations matched to each window.
4. Trips keeps confirmed plans with loud reminders and calendar export.

CORE FEATURES

Maximise long weekends
• Detects bridge and mega-bridge windows around public and regional holidays.
• Shows how many leaves unlock each break.
• Destination ideas scaled to trip length, season, and your travel modes.

Loud, on-time alarm reminders
• Leave-application alarm — default 30 days before each trip (editable).
• Booking heads-up — timed for train (~60 days), bus (~30) or flight (~45) before your trip, at the booking-portal hour you choose.
• Rings like a clock alarm: loud on the alarm stream, wakes the lock screen, Dismiss or Snooze 10 minutes.
• Works with Do Not Disturb on for alarm-class alerts.
• Survives reboot and app updates — alarms are re-armed automatically.

Offline, private, no account
• Holiday, city and destination data ships inside the app — plan without internet.
• No login, no ads, no analytics, no server storing your trips.
• Everything stays on your device unless you choose to export it.

Backup and restore
• Export a JSON backup from Profile → Backup & data (or restore during welcome setup).
• Move to a new phone or recover after reset — trips, calendar, holidays, favorites, and reminder settings come back.
• You control the file (Downloads, Drive, etc.) — we never receive your backup.

Calendar export
• Add trips to Google Calendar in two taps, or export .ics for any calendar app.

WHY ALARMS, NOT SILENT NOTIFICATIONS

Missing a leave deadline or a Tatkal / IRCTC window costs real money. Holiday Hacker uses Android exact-alarm and full-screen intent— the same class of tools as the system Clock app — so reminders are heard, not buried in the notification shade.

PERMISSIONS (TRIP ALARMS ONLY)

Notifications, schedule exact alarms, full-screen intent, foreground service while ringing, and boot completed — used only to deliver alarms you schedule. Storage access is used only when you tap Export or Restore backup. We do not read your files in the background.
