Turn your Android phone into an offline sensor toolbox and field instrument.

Senscoder brings your phone's GPS/GNSS, compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, barometer, microphone, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and other sensors together in one privacy-focused app.

Explore live measurements, graphs, spectra and instrument-style displays — with calculations performed directly on your device.

MOTION & VIBRATION

Use your phone's accelerometer and gyroscope to explore motion, linear acceleration, rotation and G-force.

The built-in seismograph displays live three-axis vibration traces, peak values and frequency analysis. It is designed for exploration and observation and is not a calibrated seismometer.

SOUND & FFT SPECTRUM ANALYZER

Analyze microphone input in real time with:

Sound levels are shown as digital dBFS values, not calibrated sound-pressure measurements.

MAGNETIC FIELD DETECTOR

Use the phone's magnetometer to inspect magnetic field strength, X/Y/Z components, direction and fluctuations with live traces and a 3D field visualization.

WI-FI & BLUETOOTH

Inspect nearby wireless signals without sending internet traffic.

The Wi-Fi instrument can show nearby access points, signal strength, 2.4/5/6 GHz channel information, security metadata and supported Wi-Fi RTT measurements.

Run an on-demand Bluetooth LE scan to inspect nearby BLE devices, signal strength, advertisements and supported radio information.

NFC READER

Inspect NFC tags in read-only mode. View tag technologies, identifiers, capacity and supported NDEF text, URI, MIME and external records.

Senscoder does not write to NFC tags or automatically open links.

View the environmental sensors available on your Android device, including:

ASTRONOMY

Explore the sky without an internet connection. Senscoder calculates positions and events for the Sun, Moon and planets locally on your device, including rise and set times, lunar phases and an interactive observer globe.

Senscoder works in airplane mode and requires no Senscoder account or external server.

A built-in demo mode lets you explore instruments even when a particular sensor is unavailable on your device.

Senscoder is intended for exploration, education and general-purpose observation. Measurements depend on your device hardware, calibration and environment and should not be treated as calibrated scientific, medical, safety, legal or survey equipment.
