Katnet is a practical network utility for people who run or troubleshoot LANs or install IOT/CCTV devices. See what’s on your subnet, check connectivity, and open remote sessions to gear you’re allowed to use, without the app asking for location permission.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Subnet scanning - Enter a CIDR (for example 192.168.1.0/24) and probe hosts with fast, bounded TCP port checks.
• Discovery - Find devices via SSDP and ONVIF-style discovery where your network supports it.
• Host details - Best-effort enrichment: HTTP server/title, TLS certificate subject on common ports, SSH banner, SNMP where reachable.
• Connectivity tests - DNS resolution, TCP reachability, and HTTP(S) URL checks (optional HTTP proxy with auth).
• Remote access - Built-in SSH and VNC clients for systems you own or are authorized to access on the LAN.
PERMISSIONS (KEPT MINIMAL)
Katnet uses Internet access, basic network state, and Wi‑Fi multicast only where needed for discovery. Nothing saved to Cloud, no registration required.
IMPORTANT
Use Katnet only on networks and devices you own or have explicit permission to test. Scanning or accessing systems without authorization may violate law or policy where you live.
Katnet is aimed at IT pros, hobbyists, and advanced users who already understand IP networking, ports, and remote access tools.
