About this app

Jonot Kiosk turns any Android tablet into a self-service queue check-in station. Customers tap a queue to join it, collect a paper ticket with their number, and wait wherever they like. Their phone tells them when it is their turn.

Designed for small clinics, service desks, repair counters, restaurants and any place where people used to stand in line.

KEY FEATURES

• Join with one tap — choose a queue and get a number.
• Automatic ticket printing — USB, Bluetooth or network ESC/POS thermal printers print tickets without showing dialogs.
• Locked kiosk mode — the app fills the screen and disables the home, recent apps and status controls so customers cannot leave it.
• Starts automatically — the tablet opens in kiosk mode after it starts, with no help from staff.
• Manager access — tap the corner five times and enter a PIN to change the printer or exit.
• Recovers from short network outages — the screen keeps showing its latest information and reconnects automatically.

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

The kiosk uses the Jonot web app at kiosk.jonot.io. Customers take their printed ticket and watch the queue display for their number. They can also scan a Jonot QR code at the venue to join the same queue from their phone without touching the kiosk.

WHO IT IS FOR

Service businesses that want to remove physical lines from their lobby, including pharmacies, walk-in clinics, banks, opticians, phone repair shops, immigration offices, restaurants and government counters.

REQUIREMENTS

• Android 12 (API 31) or newer.
• A tablet is recommended (10 inches or larger).
• An ESC/POS thermal printer (USB, Bluetooth or network) for paper-ticket output. The kiosk also works without a printer — customers see their ticket number on screen instead.
• An active Jonot organization account at jonot.io.

PRIVACY

Jonot Kiosk displays the kiosk web app. The Android app does not collect or store personal data. Ticket details stay with the queue and are not linked to the customer's identity.

What’s new

The Kiosk app is now available in Simplified Chinese and features an improved color scheme. Compatible Epson printers can also print queue tickets in Chinese. This release includes further translation, stability and reliability improvements.
