Setting up your plants' optimal lighting is not easy — if not impossible without a proper PAR / PPFD plant light meter. Calculating your indoor garden's daily light integral (DLI) to match your plants’ needs allows you to optimize your lighting for maximal yield at minimal electricity consumption.
Our Photone grow light meter app measures photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) as PPFD in µmol/m²/s, calculates the daily light integral (DLI) in mol/m²/d, and measures illuminance in foot candles or Lux. It also allows you to measure light temperature in Kelvin which can help you determine if a light is suitable for fruiting and flowering or for vegetative growth.

I am trying to calibrate on my Samsung Galaxy S21. I have read the blog and followed the instructions. But it keep telling me to remove the diffuser. It is way off without the diffuser (500+- PPFD) based on the chart of my light. Everyone is using a diffuser as it is needed for every meter but this app seems to not like it, even if the instructions tell to use and the importance of having it. Lol. Useless for me right now.

Sorry for the confusion! It varies from device to device so we implemented the logic into the app to tell you if you need a diffuser or not. If yours doesn't show you a "Diffuser Required" prompt, you're already good to go. I hope this clears things up and you can use our app 😊
