About this app

The official application made available to citizens by the Department of Transport of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
With iPatente you can check the balance and the points history of your driving license, check the details and deadlines of your vehicles, monitor the status of your practices and check the history of those carried out over the years.
On third-party vehicles you can check the insurance status, the environmental class and the possibility of driving for novice drivers.
More in detail, the various functions proposed:
• Driving licenses: in addition to the updated balance of points on your driving license, you can check the expiration of validity of the driving license and the changes in score with the relative informative details of each sanction and each increase in points.

• Vehicles: you can check all the details of the vehicles that are registered to you, starting from the technical data up to the inspection and insurance expiry dates. With this new version you can also view all the information relating to your pleasure craft (boats and / or ships)

• Practices: you can check the progress of the processing process of your dossiers at the Civil Motorization. On the homepage you will find all your ongoing practices, for the history you can refer to the appropriate "Practices" section.

• Vehicle verification: there is a banner on the homepage and a section within the search function that allow you to verify the data of a third party vehicle. You will be able to know, starting from the license plate, the insurance status, the environmental class and driving compatibility for novice drivers.

• Company search: it is possible to search for all companies registered in the REN (National Electronic Register) authorized to transport goods or people by road

• PagoPA payments It is possible to make the spontaneous payments necessary to use a paid service of the MIMS and to consult the payments made and the relative receipts.

• Single national IT platform for the management of license plates associated with the CUDE (European Disability Unified Pass)

• Messages and notifications: you can receive notifications to stay updated on your deadlines and on the changes in the points of your driving licenses. You can view the history in the Messages and Notifications section of the application
The data provided by the iPatente application are the same as those present on the site "Il Portale dell'Automobilista", the e-government service portal of the Department of Transport of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (Motorization Civil).

How to access the service:
If you are not yet registered on the motorist's portal, follow the simple procedure directly on your Android device using the application. When registering, remember to enter your driving license number.
* if you have a new model license (card format), the number to be entered is the one shown on the side in point 5.
To access the services made available by the application, you must use the same "username" and "password" that you use on the driver's portal.
N.B. if you do not enter your license details during registration, you will then not be able to access the details and points balance of the same, but you can enter them later both through the driver's portal and through the iPatente application.

Ratings and reviews

It seems, the app has a bug that prevents entering the place of birth when a country other than Italy is selected. The previous version used to work well for me. I really appreciate the digitalizion efforts by the ministry. Best wishes.

This app has a major issue with adding your Italian driving license. When your place of birth was in a country other than Italy, it does not allow you to add your Italian driving licence. This issue needs to be resolved for the app to be of any real use.

Apparently 1 year later it still is a problem; if born outside of Italy, your license cannot be registered. Will this ever be fixed? Would love to know. Thanks
