Dots in the Sky turns your phone into a radar for everything passing overhead. Open the app and see, in real time, the satellites orbiting above you, nearby aircraft in flight and the International Space Station. And when you feel like investigating, recently reported UFO sightings in your area.

WHAT YOU SEE ON THE MAP
• Satellites updated every few seconds, with their orbital track
• Live aircraft in flight (community ADS-B data)
• The International Space Station (ISS), with a dedicated follow mode
• A list sorted by elevation, so you instantly know what's highest above the horizon

COLORS TELL YOU WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING AT
• Green: public satellites
• Orange: classified satellites
• Purple: spy satellites
• Red: military satellites and aircraft
• Cyan: civilian aircraft

AUGMENTED REALITY — POINT AT THE SKY
Raise your phone toward the sky: satellites and aircraft appear overlaid on the real scene, in the exact direction you point. Spotting the ISS with the naked eye has never been easier.

MORE THAN SATELLITES
• UFO/UAP sightings from public databases (NUFORC and others): these are not real time, they arrive after being reported, but cross-checking them against the satellite and aircraft map helps you figure out what was really seen
• Red night-vision mode, to preserve your dark adaptation while observing
• EMF detector: uses your phone's magnetometer to show the local magnetic field
• Tech sheets for objects, powered by Wikipedia
• Map styles: satellite, dark, streets
• Keep the screen on or let it go to standby, your choice: observe without interruptions or save battery

BUILT WITH YOUR PRIVACY IN MIND
• No account, no sign-up
• No ads and no tracking
• Your location is used only to compute what's above you and to look up nearby aircraft: it is sent to ADS-B services for that lookup only, and the app never stores it

What’s new

Augmented reality now points where it should.

The Moon and the Sun are drawn along with satellites and aircraft: if they do not match the real sky, your phone compass is off. Tap the Moon where you see it and everything snaps into place, then stays put even near metal and magnets, which used to rotate it by tens of degrees.

Also fixed a lag that shifted markers while you rotate the phone.
