About this game

Wizardry Variants Daphne carries on the lineage of the classic RPG series, Wizardry. The portal to the labyrinth of despair, where even destruction is pleasure, has opened once again.

■ Story
Once every 100 years, the Abyss opens.

It is a curse of death that consumes the continent. A Warlock who coveted Death, devoured people and animals and enveloped the world in despair.

Inheriting the power to seal the Abyss over generations, kings have continued to protect the kingdom from its curse.

But now, the king has vanished, and the world is being consumed by death, moment by moment.

Resistance itself is meaningless.
There is naught but to perish.

I absolutely can not wait for this game to land on Steam (here's hoping we can transfer progress). I'm a gaming relic of sorts, in my opinion... So this game reminded me of a Super Nintendo game called 'Dungeon Master'. The dungeon crawling, despite it being tutorial, was challenging. I died a few times, but was willing to keep trying. Now, I have the fast travel portion unlocked and did my first pulls... The character aesthetics are nice, and diverse enough for now. Will stick with this.

Really interesting both visually and in gameplay. A lot of attention to detail was given to each, featuring some really cool mechanics and features that I don't think I've seen in a game yet. My only gripes are a fairly common bug preventing progress in Beginning B4F, which can be fixed by reloading, and the cost of boosting your adventurers to some of the higher grades gets ludicrously expensive. Super cool game though, you should check it out

I like it but same issues most gotcha games have. Roll rates way too low that makes getting new teammates a horrible grind to get. A few stats and mechanics that aren't explained in the slightest. Decent weopons are a hassle to get, early game gives you better stuff but it declines as you go further. Expeditions suck, it's either pay gems to get more slots or do one at a time and waiting 4 to 6 hours plus for a small bit of loot or xp is a total drag. Decent otherwise
