The overview of the childcare worker examination is as follows:

[Written Examination]
The written examination is a multiple-choice test using a mark sheet, consisting of nine subjects. The passing standard is 60% or higher of the perfect score in each subject. However, for "Principles of Education" and "Social Care," you must score 60% or higher of the maximum score in both subjects in the same exam.

[Practical Exam]
In the practical exam, you will choose two subjects from Language, Music, and Art (Painting). The passing score is 60% or higher of the maximum score of 50 points for each of the two subjects you chose.

1. Nine Exam Subjects
The childcare worker exam has nine subjects, which is more than many other qualification exams. In particular, the three subjects of "Social Care," "Principles of Education," and "Social Welfare" are somewhat more difficult than the other subjects, contributing to the lower pass rate.

2. Subject-Specific Passing System
The childcare worker certification exam doesn't require passing all nine subjects in one go. Passed subjects are valid for three years, so from the second year onwards, you can retake only the subjects you failed and complete the exam over several years.
