About this app

Detect Fake Devices & Protect Yourself from Fraud!

Is your new phone or tablet too good to be true? Don't get scammed! Fake Device Test helps you uncover and expose fake specifications. Many counterfeit devices use modified firmware to mask their true, inferior, specifications. Other device testing apps don't focus on verifying a device's specifications, and often report the fake specifications. Fake Device Test digs deeper to reveal the true specifications and expose fraud.

How Fake Device Test Works:
Unlike other apps that rely on easily manipulated system information, Fake Device Test runs rigorous tests to find the real specifications. This allows us to identify discrepancies and uncover fake devices that try to deceive you.

Key Features:
* Unmask Fake Hardware: Expose devices with modified firmware and inflated specifications.
* Deep Testing: Goes beyond surface-level system reports to analyze true hardware capabilities.
* Full SD Card Test: Detect fake and defective SD cards with a thorough two-pass test, verifying every bit of the free memory space. More comprehensive than typical single-pass tests.
* Interruptible SD Card Testing: Resume long running Full SD tests if they are interrupted, even if the OS or other system software prematurely closes the app without your permission.
* Protect Your Investment: Ensure you're getting what you paid for and avoid costly scams.

Why Choose Fake Device Test?
Fake Device Test was the first and possibly still the only app that focuses on exposing faked device specs, and tries to prevent fraud against our users. If a seller will not guarantee that their device will run (Fake Device Test), then they are very likely selling fake devices. Insist on being able to Install and Run (Fake Device Test) before purchasing or accepting any device. Demand a full refund if the installation or execution of (Fake Device Test) is blocked.

Important Notice for Users of FDT:
FDT is a trusted tool for revealing the true hardware and software specifications of Android devices. We have significant evidence showing some devices with faked specifications are intentionally blocking FDT from running, which is an attempt to prevent you from discovering the device's actual specifications..
If FDT crashes immediately on startup or fails to install or run on your device, especially if it's newly purchased, this strongly indicates that the device's software has been modified to blacklist or interfere with FDT. We strongly recommend you take the following actions:
1.Consider this a serious red flag. Devices that block transparency apps do so to hide faked specifications, pre-install malware, and may have other security vulnerabilities.
2.Contact your seller or retailer immediately. Inform them that the device is preventing critical diagnostic tools like FDT from running and that you suspect it may not be genuine or as advertised. Request a full refund or an exchange for a verified, genuine device. Your security and right to accurate information are important. FDT is committed to providing transparency. It's inexcusable that some device manufacturers choose to obstruct this.

Search Terms: fake device test, device test, hardware test, detect fake phone, identify fake tablet, fake hardware, modified firmware, inflated specs, SD card test, fake SD card, protect from fraud, device authenticity, verify hardware.

(Note: OTG flash drives are not supported with the SD card test.)

From FB Chinese Android Car Radio / Stereos / Head Units: This essential app will tell you if the Android radio you have just bought has the advertised specifications. Last month I purchased an Android radio from AliExpress that was supposed to have a top spec (for Android radios) UIS7862 but had a garbage UIS8581 SOC. It also had a faked Android 14 (which was 10) and it had 64gb of external RAM instead of the advertised 128gb.

Bought a 10" car radio on eBay for $110, description said it was Android 8.1, 2G of RAM, 32G storage, and a 1.3Ghz CPU (Box and even the "System Info" Menu on the radio software said the same). Your software showed it was actually Android 6 (high lighted in red and everything) and that it was only 1G of RAM and a 1.1Ghz CPU (Not sure why they weren't red, maybe the OS wasn't hacked, just the about section, but it did report the correct specs). Thanks for helping me not get ripped off! Emailing now about refund/return options.

Thanks for the review and feedback. Glad the app exposed yet another scammer. Since you purchased on Ebay, be sure to have the seller send you a prepaid return shipping label. Ebay's policy is that items sold "not as advertised", require the seller to have to pay for return shipping.

Before finding this app, whenever I ordered SDcards I never had a reliable level of confidence that the card I received was a fake or not. I'd get different speed test results when testing on my PC and cellphone and the speeds NEVER came close to the advertised speeds (I realize that there's different factors to explain this). Well, even with this app they still don't (lol), but with the testing thoroughness of this app, I now have a level of confidence when it says that the card passes. Thanks!

Thanks for the review. Claimed SD card speeds are usually exaggerated. The "V" ratings however are supposed to be a guaranteed minimal speed. If you aren't getting at least the V rated speed, the problem could be the device's SD card interface doesn't support that speed, otherwise the card can be considered bad for failing to meet the "V" rating.
