About this game

Infinity is an android port of fake-08, not official full-function release. Not related to or supported by Lexaloffle Software. Please refer to fake-08 project for more informations. https://github.com/jtothebell/fake-08

In addition to fake-08‘s restrictions, multi cart games are unsupported by Infinity.

Infinity now supports both OpenGL ES and Vulkan graphics backends. Vulkan is currently in beta, as I am not yet fully familiar with it and there is still room for optimization. Additionally, Pixel Perfect and Aspect Ratio scaling modes are supported. If you prefer a larger screen, you can choose Aspect Ratio.

ABOUT BUILT-IN CARTS

In my memory, I've never attempted to create games myself before, this is first time for me, and it's quite fun. The platform is indeed interesting, you should consider getting a copy. https://www.lexaloffle.com/pico-8.php

ABOUT 7x7 DEMAKE

It's a classic game from the Jelly Bean days that I used to love, I recently found out it's been taken down, so I decided to recreate it. The touch screen version (7x7 Remake) is also available now.

ISSUES

Due to Storage Access Framework‘s performance issue, the response time for the "Show Carts in Photos" option may be very slow. You can also hide them by adding a .nomedia file in Carts Directory using a file manager you trust.

If GamePad multi-touch not working on your Samsung Android device, please follow this guide. https://github.com/moonlight-stream/moonlight-android/issues/944#issuecomment-826149832

I have a few complaints about the controls, though it's good in all other regards. - it's very easy to misclick the wrong button, which can be an issue in certain games - resizing the buttons can cause them to overlap, as the buttons don't actually get more spaced apart. Also the performance doesn't match pico-8 perfectly, though that doesn't mean more frames get processed every second, which would lead to games running faster, just that where a game would lag on pico-8, it doesn't here.

A great emulator and the number one choice for android devices wanting a stand-alone player. There are teething problems, though, while the vast majority of games work flawlessly, some have real problems. For example, World of Goo won't play sound and has its colours showing all wrong. The save state feature will be a welcome addition when it's implemented, but at the moment, it is yet to work. Overall though, a fantastic effort, I look forward to seeing more.

It's great to see a new P8 player around (also based of FAKE-8). However, I got issues when trying to boot up a game. For the most part, the games I've tried have black screens. There's audio though which is impressive for a first build; but still unplayable for me. For now, it I will give 3 stars, but I know this player have a potential.
