MX Mariner is a simple, no nonsense mobile chart plotter for Android featuring daily updated US NOAA ENC charts. Downloaded charts, tides and current forecasts work 100% offline — no internet connection required.

Features include day, dusk and night chart modes. Location following (look ahead and course up), tracks, routes , waypoints, GPX data import/export, tide & current forecasts with chart overlay.

Chart downloads and updates are offered through a chart pass, available as a 1-month or 1-year purchase. A chart pass lets you keep your downloads permanently, provides unlimited daily updates, allows offline use forever on your device, and delivers chart data optimized for performant mobile display. Mobile optimized chart region packs are updated daily from NOAA charts.

May 23 2019 this app was one of my favorite to use on the seaways. As a matter of fact it was the only one I ever used. the chart system is identical to the paper charts that I grew up with. however after struggling with this app in scaling on three different phones, I can't recommend this app any longer especially with the free apps that are available that do a much better job and scaling the maps on your device.

Thank you for nothing. l purchased MX Mariner via Playstore many years ago complete with New Zealand marine charts and have been using it regularly. An update this morning for the first time in many years and my charts were either removed or hidden. No new charts available for our area. Gone forever and the app is now useless for us. A warning before update would have been courteous. No stars from me!

UPDATE: Now provides support for ENCs! However, the update nuked all my old charts!! Charts are now pay as you use. I have PolarView NS installed on my laptop. This app is essentially PolarView-lite. It is an awesome chartplotter, and uses the latest NOAA Raster Navigation Charts (RNCs). Locating and updating charts is a snap. AND it integrates with ActiveCaptain, so that you can have the latest crowd sourced information.
