A practical alarm app for Android that reads the time out loud.

Announcement Useful Alarm announces the time by voice when an alarm goes off, for example: “It is 7:30. Wake up.”
If ordinary alarm sounds are not enough, it combines spoken time announcements, alert sounds, a main alarm sound, screen flashing, and vibration to help you wake up more reliably.

When an alarm rings, open the app screen to stop it.
The notification shows Snooze and Open app buttons, and the alarm continues encouraging you with sound and voice until you dismiss it in the app.
Snoozed alarms can be checked on the main screen and canceled from inside the app.

For the main sound, you can choose built-in presets or an audio file on your device.
You can also choose an alert sound from several built-in options, or set it to None if you do not need one.
Both the main sound and alert sound can be previewed from the settings and alarm edit screens.

Dismiss methods include slide, press and hold, and math problems.

What’s new

Improved alarm ringing reliability.
The alarm now uses a notification-sound fallback from startup until in-app audio is confirmed, and the backup alarm runs earlier.
When the alarm screen is not in front, the notification is shown again periodically so it is easier to open and stop.
