tl;dr - I would gladly rate this 5 stars upon the reintroduction of Quest Mode... the replayability that feature added was what kept me enjoying the experience. This is an incredibly fun game and used to be 5 stars without a doubt. It pains me to mark such a low rating, as it is a generally faithful and fantastic digital recreation of the physical game. The first and primary reason I could no longer say this is a 5 star game is the removal of Quest Mode; there is only so much replay value in playing the same adventure paths or scenarios over and over, but Quest Mode brought a fresh dynamic element to the game which kept me playing since it offered something different each time. Sadly, I cannot say I will be spending much time with this game anymore unless Quest Mode is reintroduced. Finally, the inclusion of all the additional microtransaction elements heralding the release for PC simply felt like a cheap cash grab. Would it, by itself, cause me to stop playing? Not very likely, but it sure left a bitter taste in my mouth.
I can't log into my Asmodee account. I can't click the "next" button after tryping in my email in the main menu. It seems like a fun game so its a bummer. Ill change rating if it gets changed.
Top Dungeons&Dragons-style RPG-adaption. Character modification possibilities are great, due to customizable decks, addit. features & acquirable skills. Even the character levels need to be earned instead of just bought. The artwork is not high-res top-notch, but charming enough to don't spoil anything. Storylines run a bit short, but therefore the scenarios offer a wide variation of different quest objectives and winning conditions in even a single mission. This game was absolute top league as long as the quest mode, allowing you to face endless randomly generated scenarios to earn advancement achievements, premium currency & levels with unlocked characters, existed alongside the story mode. Dont understand why someone reasonably would remove the quest mode from game?!? (Probably a decision felt by those Steam geniuses!!!) The best about it: All current content can be earned solely by playing, don't have to spend a single dime! Would be even greater if you could generate one character on your own where you decide class, stats and starting features/powers. Even w/o character generation this will be a favorite for any D&D-fan!! PS: request quest mode back, the game offers so much more with that!!
Extreamly fun game if your looking for an IN-DEPTH strategy card game. I own the at home version of this game as well and it is my favorit. If your looking for a casual game DON'T play this. There is alot of 1 star reviews that are unfair to this game for its complexity, but once you READ THE RULES(Oh my god what a concept.) The tutorial will make sence and you will be murding faces in no time.
Love this game been playing like a crack addict. Can't wait for more characters. Wish my custom dice would stay on when I'm offline though, probably my biggest gripe.
Decent P&P port with poor start experience. Love the systems but it's tedious to be playing with just the one character at the start. Not enough basis to invest time and money in the game.
Fixed not being able to access the runes panel.
