The most powerful mapping app you can possibly imagine. Its ease of use has somewhat to suffer precisely because of its complexity, but it's a trade-off you have to make. I think the most important features it will need to acquire are the ability to transfer routes between the android and the desktop apps, and to improve smoothness of the single-finger zoom (double tap quickly followed by vertical finger motion to zoom the map in and out).

Default navigation settings unusable in Central Europe. Maybe fine in uninhabited regions where OSM data is close to non-existant. At every railway crossing, pedestrian crossing and traffic island (called "speed bumps") the app screams "ATTENTION!" distracting from the traffic on the road. App barely manages to squeeze in the navigation information between that. -- Defaults matter and set the tone for the target group. -- (Edited for clarity.)

Generally good, but why does "speed" tab for routes display "slowness" instead? Speed is, by definition, distance divided by time, not vice versa. I never use the displayed thing anywhere and can't easily relate to particular values. Besides, make just one stop and the graph becomes useless: peaks to maximum and actually meaningful values at the bottom, so that you can hardly distinguish between 4, 5 and 6 km/h when hiking. EDIT: I don't want to filter anything, I want to see speed in km/h.
