It was a Great concept, it seems that I can't extend or renew time. Meaning that I can easily get a ticket because i would have to run out and pay the meter. I thought the point of this app was to make it convenient. But it seems that it was just to tease the residents and visitors of the city to parking on the street to then easily ticket them. Whether or not this is a conspiracy with the New York City Finance Department is questionable with the nature of the app. Besides the issues it would be great if i can park and extend because if I knew that i would have to run out of my kids appointments to the car to extend the meter i wouldn't have bothered parking on a meter.
Just as every other review stated, what's the point of this app if you can't extend past the meter time. I get it that you don't want someone to keep extending time, but why not set the limit to at least 2-3 sessions or even half a session, especially with 1hr parking zones. and no, this is not that much easier than getting a receipt printed at a meter. I guess the only way to beat this system is to first park with a muni receipt, then start a session with the app when that expires... thanks for nothing NYC DOT.
This app won't extend nor renew after time expired! I believed the mayor is using this app to discourage vehicle into Manhattan! All paper meters were removed, no other way except to use this app or call in. Even you call in, it recognized cell phone & won't extend nor renew time on the same zone.
Well deserved 1 star app and implementation. You see the zone number on the meter, but the app says no zone on that section. 5 days in a row in different part of Manhattan and I still cannot successfully use it once. I start believe it is a scam by city to take your initial $25. I only can found out the zone is not available after I paid. Developer, city, please refund my deposit!!!
Just awful. Was able to set up account and pay for one session but not able to extend. I even allowed the time to expire and start a brand new session but it did not worked. I tried calling customer support but was disconnected each time I pressed 0 to speak to someone. What a crappy app!!!!
This app is a lot better than the reviews make it seem. Yes it does not let you extend your meter, but that is on purpose because that's just what the law is. The actual app is very easy to use, lets you mark where you parked, and is convenient. I don't know if it's totally worth it over just using a credit card at the meter, but it's a good app nonetheless.
