Open the freezer and you have no idea what is in there. Somewhere at the bottom lies something you froze in March — you just don't know what, or whether it is still any good.
Bevro is a list of what you actually have, in the shape of the thing itself: one tile per drawer or shelf, in the same order as at home. Tap a drawer to see what is in it. Take something out with a single tap.
IT WORKS OUT THE DATE FOR YOU
You enter the day you froze it. Bevro knows how long that kind of food stays good — three months for ground meat, nine for chicken, a year for vegetables — and tells you "4 months left" or "3 weeks past the date". Guide times for 28 categories, and you can change any of them if you know better.
ADDING IS TWO TAPS
Type three letters and pick the suggestion. The type of food, the unit and the date come with it. Bevro remembers your own products, so after a week the list is yours.
USE THIS FIRST
One screen with everything that is coming up or past its date, across all three places. Plus one reminder a week if you want it, and not more — an app that beeps every day gets switched off.
FREEZER, FRIDGE AND PANTRY
The freezer counts in months from the day you froze it. The fridge counts in days from opening or cooking, because there it is about safety rather than quality. The pantry does not count at all: you copy the date from the package.
NO ACCOUNT, NO ADS, NO SUBSCRIPTION
Everything stays on your phone. Bevro has no server, collects nothing and works in airplane mode. You pay once and that is it. Make a backup whenever you like — it is one file that you keep yourself.
Available in English and Dutch.
The storage times are guide times for quality, not a guarantee. At -18 °C bacteria do not grow; what suffers is taste and texture. Trust your eyes and your nose as well.
